ROBOT2022 (Fifth Iberian Robotics Conference) is being organized by SEIDROB – Sociedad Española para la Investigación y Desarrollo en Robótica and SPR – Sociedade Portuguesa de Robótica and will take place at Paraninfo Building, University of Zaragoza. The aim of the conference is to show novelties in robotics research & development of new applications through a set of special sessions in distinct robotics-related fields.

A special session entitled "Versatile and heterogeneous robots in agriculture" includes several topics covered by the FlexiGroBots project and is being organized by partners from Wageningen University & Research (WUR) and Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC). Within this special session, three papers written by consortium partners will be presented at the conference:

  • "Towards automated UAV image processing workflows in precision viticulture: Challenges and benefits" Sergio Vélez, Mar Ariza-Sentís and João Valente (WUR)
  • "Automated Rapeseed Pest Detection and Management with Drones" Jere Kaivosoja, Ari Ronkainen, Juho Hautsalo, Juha Backman, Raimo Linkolehto, Miguel San Emeterio and Juha-Pekka Soininen (LUKE, ATOS & VTT collaboration)
  • "Collaborative Harvest Robot" Maria Nuria Conejero, Hector Montes, Dionisio Andujar, Jose Maria Bengochea and Ángela Ribeiro (CSIS)

Additionally, consortium partners from the BioSense Institute (BIOS) will present their work within the special session entitled "Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Applications":

  • "Blueberry Row Detection Based on UAV Images for Inferring the Allowed UGV Path in the Field" Dimitrije Stefanović, Aleksandar Antić, Marko Otlokan, Bojana Ivošević, Oskar Marko, Vladimir Crnojević and Marko Panić
