Transfiere is the biggest professional and multi-sectoral Forum for knowledge and technology transfer that takes place in Spain, and that gathers the most relevant players in the national and international R&D+i ecosystem.

The 2-day event will promote an environment of networking, knowledge transfer, cooperation and internationalisation for sharing scientific progress, promoting innovation and connecting science and businesses.

The Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), a member of the FlexiGroBots partners consortium, will participate in this event with a booth (E11) where they will feature new prototypes including Robert (Robot for collaborative manual harvesting) developed within the framework of the H2020 FlexiGroBots project by the Automatic and Robotics Center (CAR-CSIC-UPM) from CSIC.

Robert is part of a collaborative work scheme in the context of manual harvesting of grapevines, which allows human beings to use their skill in harvesting the fruit while the robot provides the force by transporting a box that can weigh more than 20 Kg.

"The benefits of this technology are multiple, the most notable are the reduction of injuries to workers and the improvement of the quality of the wine, because it allows the grapes to arrive immediately at the winery for processing," mentions Ángela Ribeiro, CAR researcher and Technical Project Coordinator.
